Vitamin D needs magnesium too

We’ve mentioned before how vitamin D underpins the health of just about every major system in your body. Now scientists tell us that unless you’re also getting enough magnesium, vitamin D supplements won’t be metabolised properly, and may cause calcification in your arteries. Ensure you’re getting the recommended amounts of magnesium each day: 420mg for males and 320mg for females, also found in almonds, bananas, broccoli and egg yolks.
