Greatest smoothies: Choc nut chiller

Being time poor doesn’t mean you have to be nutritionally lacking. Nutritionist Kathleen Alleaume has developed these delicious smoothies exclusively for Fitness First mag readers.

The Choc-Nut Chiller

Thick, creamy, and ridiculously comforting! This ultimate taste bomb is just like a chocolate milkshake sans the refined sugar and saturated fat. A delicious treat!

  • 1 cup milk or milk alternative*
  • 1 tbsp Greek yoghurt*
  • 1 small banana, frozen
  • 2-3 Medjool dates
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 tbsp nut butter
  • 1 tbsp hazelnuts, chopped
  • 1 tbsp cacao powder
  • 1 tbsp coconut flakes

*Vegans can replace dairy with silken tofu

Place all ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth then serve.
