Greatest smoothies: All-day energy booster

Get an all-day energy boost with this smoothie that’s full of healthy ingredients, including whole grain oats for fibre and slow-burning carbohydrates, almonds for healthy fats, yoghurt and milk for bone-strengthening calcium and berries and pomegranate for disease-fighting antioxidants.   • 1 cup milk or milk alternative*
  • 2 tbsp Greek yoghurt*
  • 1/2 pomegranate
  • 1 cup strawberries, frozen
  • 1/2 cup rolled or steel cut oats
  • 1 tsp goji berries
  • 2 tsp flaked coconut
  • 1 tbsp almonds, chopped
  • Sweetener to taste (optional)

*Vegans can replace dairy with silken tofu

Place all ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth then serve.
